Leesburg Mayor and Town Council Members sworn in
The newly re-elected and elected members of the Leesburg Town Council were officially sworn in at a
ceremony Dec. 12 at the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center.
Mayor Kelly Burk was sworn in for her fifth mayoral two-year term. Council Members Zach Cummings and Kari Nacy were both sworn in for their second four-year Council terms. Council Member-Elect Nicholas Krukowski was sworn in for his first four-year Council term.
The oaths of office were administered by Clerk of the Circuit Court Gary Clemens for Council Member Nacy, and by Judge Thomas D. Horne for Mayor Burk, Council Member Cummings, and Council Member-Elect Krukowski.
The terms for the newly sworn in Mayor and Council Members begin Jan. 1. They join Vice Mayor Neil Steinberg, Council Member Todd Cimino-Johnson, and Council Member Patrick Wilt.
The first business meeting of the new Council will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025.
