Memorial Day Observance to Take Place at Loudoun County Courthouse
The Town of Leesburg will host its annual Memorial Day Observance on Monday, May 25, at 10 a.m. on the grounds of the Loudoun County Courthouse.
The annual observance commemorates those who have lost their lives in battle, serving the United States.
Major General (Ret.) James “Spider” Marks will be the distinguished guest speaker. Mayor Kelly Burk will share her remarks before placing a wreath at the war memorials in honor of all soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.
The following streets will be closed for the event from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.:
- Market Street from Wirt to Church streets
- King Street from Loudoun to Cornwall streets
As always, the public is encouraged to attend. Public parking will be available at the Pennington Lot (112 Church Street) as well as the Town Hall and Loudoun County parking garages.
