05/27/21          4:55 p.m.         400 Block of McDaniel Drive                         Domestic Dispute

The complainant called his wife from his place of employment and requested that she ensure that her parents and sister, who were visiting, be gone from his residence before he got home from work. His wife, who was happy to have family present, did not acquiesce to his request.

When the complainant arrived home, he was dismayed to see that his in-laws were still there. To no one’s surprise, a heated verbal argument ensued. The complainant reported that he was struck by his sister in-law, with an open hand slap to his face. The sister in-law reported that she pushed the complainant back as he was lunging for his mother in-law.

After multiple interviews, a convoluted tale of what occurred was developed along with an insistence that no one was desirous of criminal prosecution. Therefore, the process of obtaining warrants was explained to all parties.

Eventually, logic and reason overruled passion and emotion and the in-laws left the residence, without further incident.
