Music for individuals with cognitive impairment starting Sept. 13
Starting this fall, the Loudoun County Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, Agency on Aging will bring “Chime In With the AAA Rhythm Maker” to Loudoun. This first Hand Chime music group to Northern Virginia. This in-person group is for individualswith early to moderate stage cognitive impairment and their care partners.
No musical experience? No problem. This group isabout the joy of making musictogether and being successful in a supportive and enriching environment. Studies have shown that music can help reduce stress, anxiety, and improve mood in people who have cognitive impairment as well as their care partners.
Many of us have been isolated during the Covid-19 pandemic, and this is a great opportunity to get out and meet others who share a love of music. There is no cost to participate.
