Joshua’s Hands Prepares for 40 th Fall Festival
Joshua’s Hands is holding its 40th annual Fall Festival, set to take place on Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Historic Walnut Creek Farm, just off Rt. 9 and Rt. 7. This year’s theme is “Autumn: A Season of Color!” and promises to offer a vibrant experience for all attendees.
Join in for a day filled with live entertainment featuring both local and regional artists, including Jayde, Wages Day, Catoctin School of Music, Celtic School of Rhythm & Dance, Zion Springs Fiddlers, puppets, mimes and Blue Ridge Thunder Cloggers.
Everyone is welcome from children to the young at heart, with activities such as fire trucks, face painting, balloon art, animal exhibits, and a preschool area known as Little Avenue. Expect pony rides, engaging kids’ crafts, and an array of carnival-style games to ignite the fun.
The festival will showcase heritage arts, allowing participants to enjoy hands-on experiences in quilting and knitting, alongside demonstrations in chair caning and wool spinning. There will also be animal exhibits and games galore. Celebrating its 40th year, this cherished community event is entirely free, including lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This incredible gift is made possible through the generosity of our community, which supports our live auction at 2 p.m. Local and regional donations will be auctioned off, with proceeds helping to cover the expenses of the event and support the work of Joshua’s Hands. Some items up for bid include quilts, themed gift baskets, jewelry, Tupperware, restaurant gift cards, homemade treats, and much more.
