Conner graduates from Professional Executive Leadership School

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has announced the graduation of 2nd Lieutenant Jay Conner from the 55th session of the Virginia Police Chiefs Foundation Professional Executive Leadership School. 

2nd Lieutenant Conner, a 25-year veteran, leads the Support Services Unit at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, overseeing technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety. He is part of the Civil Disturbance Unit, a driver for the Mobile Command Unit, and has supported presidential inaugurations and other major events in Washington, D.C. Lt. Conner has also served in the Field Operations and Criminal Investigations Divisions, contributing significantly to public safety.

The PELS program is an intensive three-week leadership education program conducted in cooperation with the University of Richmond. This program is designed for individuals serving in command/executive-level positions within their agencies.

The curriculum is liberal arts/humanities-based and focused on the study of leadership at an advanced level. The objective of this program is to acquaint participants with best leadership practices, challenge them to reflect upon their leadership competency, and examine ways of achieving both personal and professional growth. 

The classes are held on the campus of the University of Richmond, with faculty drawn from the University’s Robins School of Business, Management Institute, Jepson School of Leadership Studies, and other schools.
