More Than 7,100 LCPS Seniors Set to Graduate This Month
Loudoun County Public Schools expects to award diplomas to 7,151 seniors during graduation ceremonies this month, according to data released by the school division.
Of the graduating Class of 2026, approximately 75% earned an advanced diploma, 23% earned a standard diploma and just over 1% earned an applied studies diploma.
Most graduates reported plans to continue their education after high school. According to LCPS, 71% of seniors plan to attend a four-year college this fall, up 1% from last year’s graduating class, while 16% plan to attend a two-year college, down 1% from the previous year.
Other post-graduation plans reported by students include:
- 4% entering the workforce
- Just over 1% entering military service
- 6% taking a gap year or pursuing other educational opportunities
“We are incredibly proud of the LCPS Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished during their time with us,” Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence said. “These graduates have demonstrated determination, creativity, and a commitment to growth that will serve them well in whatever path they choose next.”


Among students planning future careers, some of the most commonly identified fields included business, engineering, nursing and medical sciences, computer science, criminology and forensic science, HVAC and electrical trades, and political science.
LCPS noted that members of the Class of 2026 earned recognition in a variety of areas, including academics, athletics, the arts, skilled trades and scientific research.
Graduation ceremonies for Loudoun County Public Schools are scheduled throughout June.
