LCSO seeks public’s help in hit-and-run investigation

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries early morning on Sept. 28.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of West Church Road and Magnolia Road in Sterling. The adult male victim was found in the roadway after being hit by a vehicle that had fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives have recovered multiple vehicle parts from the crash scene and determined the suspect vehicle is a 2014-2020 Nissan Rogue with the following characteristics:

Vehicle Details:

  • Make/Model: Nissan Rogue (2014-2020)
  • Color: Possibly grey, dark grey, or black
  • Damage: Driver’s side front quarter panel, driver’s side door, and possibly extending into the driver’s side front headlight and bumper
  • Missing Parts: Driver’s side front wheel opening molding and outer mirror cover with sensor
