Tekrony is qualified to represent the Little River District
Dear Editor:
I am writing to share my support for Laura Tekrony running for Board of Supervisors in the newly formed Little River District. I have worked with Laura many different times over the past ten years. In 2013, I first met and worked with Laura when she was a community organizer canvassing against the Bi County Parkway. It is a limited access highway that would cut through existing communities and near schools.
Now, Laura is a candidate for the Board. I attended the COLT sponsored Little River District Board of Supervisors Candidates Debate. Laura was well prepared. Her responses were substantive and detailed because knowing hot topic Loudoun issues, Laura anticipated questions and did her research. In addition, her knowledge of complex land use issues in Loudoun County was apparent during the debate.
I was part of the Sierra Club Great Falls Group Loudoun Political Endorsement Team and we wholeheartedly recommended Laura’s endorsement by the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter. It was obvious that Laura spent a considerable amount of time and energy completing the Sierra Club questionnaire with thoughtful and creative answers.
Laura’s vision aligns with the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter, “grassroots non-partisan advocacy organization dedicated to building a commonwealth where all people may enjoy our natural treasures, access clean air and water, and thrive in a healthy community. At over 20,000 members strong, the Virginia Chapter coordinates action to promote climate solutions and oppose projects and policies that put the interests of polluters above the needs of communities through an inclusive, justice-centered movement.”
The Little River District is the fastest growing and most diverse district, comprising the Rural, Transition, and Suburban Policy areas. Laura is undoubtedly qualified to represent the Little River District on the Board of Supervisors. She has unparalleled experience gained from working both outside and inside County Government: as a Bi-County Parkway community organizer; as a founding member of the Coalition of Small Schools; serving on the Aldie Heritage Association since 2013 and securing a grant to place the Arcola School on the National Register of Historic Places; appointments to two Loudoun County Advisory Boards and Commissions: Parks, Recreation and Open Space Board and Heritage Commission; and legislative aide to Chair Phyllis Randall.
Laura is well versed in issues facing Loudoun and she is a hard worker. Visit her website to learn about her priorities as well as why and how she will protect the quality of life in Loudoun County. Support and vote for Laura Tekrony for Board of Supervisors.

Laura Tekrony is an extension of Chairman Randall. She worked in her office. Randalll is atttempting to crowd this race with her supporters. Chairman Randall will dictate to Laura Tekrony. We don’t need that! We someone who will be independent of Chairman Randall and do what is best for the Little River District residents.
