LCPS Celebrates with Ribbon Cutting for Welcome Center East
Loudoun County Public Schools marked a decade of service through its Welcome Center program with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 29, celebrating the opening of the Division’s second Welcome Center, Welcome Center East. The celebration recognized both the 10-year anniversary of the LCPS Welcome Center and the expansion of services designed to better support families across the eastern portion of the county.
Located at 101 Enterprise Street in Sterling, Welcome Center East joins the original LCPS Welcome Center as a central hub dedicated to supporting students and families new to the division. Together, the two centers will serve as trusted points of entry for families navigating enrollment, academic programs, and connections to the school community.
The opening of Welcome Center East reflects a continued commitment to family engagement, equitable access, and strong community connections, ensuring that every family, regardless of language or background, has the support needed to thrive.

“For the past decade, the Welcome Center has served as an important connection point for students and families joining our school community,” said Dr. Aaron Spence, Superintendent of Loudoun County Public Schools. “This building does more than expand access. It reflects our commitment to supporting international and multilingual families, connecting them to resources, and ensuring every student and family feels welcomed, valued and included from the very beginning.”
Serving more than 80,000 students across 100 schools, Loudoun County Public Schools is one of the most diverse and dynamic school divisions in Virginia. The Welcome Centers will continue to play a vital role in ensuring students and families receive a welcoming, affirming introduction to LCPS while empowering families to be engaged and supported partners in their children’s education.
