JK Moving Services Names Dumi Martinez Chief Financial Officer

JK Moving Services has appointed Dumitrache “Dumi” Martinez as chief financial officer, a newly created position overseeing the financial operations of the company’s various divisions and affiliated businesses.

Martinez will report to CEO Chuck Kuhn and bring nearly three decades of experience in finance, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and business operations across several multinational companies.

“Dumi has outstanding leadership skills that JK needs as we continue to grow, mature and diversify our brands and products,” Kuhn said in a statement. “His experience working for multi-faceted and global firms will benefit our expanding enterprise.”

Martinez has more than 27 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles with companies including Procter & Gamble, Danone, Essity/SCA, KIND, and Mars Inc.

Most recently, he served as CFO and vice president of Strategy & Transformation for Mars Global Services and Digital Technologies, where he oversaw finance and strategy functions related to global shared services, technology, transformation initiatives, portfolio management, and business development.

Earlier in his career at Mars, Martinez served as CFO for KIND International and Global CFO of Mars Health & Wellness, supporting operations across North America, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia.

Martinez earned a master’s degree in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.

He has also completed executive education programs at several institutions, including The Wharton School, Harvard University, the Stockholm School of Economics, and the University of Oxford.

In 2016, the Philadelphia Business Journal named Martinez CFO of the Year.

In his new role, Martinez will oversee finance and accounting functions for JK Moving, CapRelo, JK Technology Services, and JK Land Holdings.
