Families encouraged to participate in Kids to Parks Day

In honor of the 15th annual Kids to Parks Day on Saturday, May 17, the Town of Leesburg invites families to explore and enjoy its diverse array of playgrounds.

From May 12 through May 16, the Town will highlight its parks and playgrounds across social media platforms, encouraging families to visit and experience as many as possible throughout the week.

Kids to Parks Day is a national day of outdoor play, celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. It connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks and public lands through hundreds of events that promote discovery and exploration in the great outdoors.

“Kids to Parks Day is a wonderful opportunity for families to unplug, get outside, and discover the amazing parks and playgrounds right here in Leesburg,” said Events Coordinator Corey Lemons. “We’re proud to support this national initiative and encourage everyone to take part in the fun!”
