George J. Haas is the founder and premier investigator of the Mars research group The Cydonia Institute and a member of the Society for Planetary SETI Research. His research encompasses over 30 years of study and analysis of NASA images of Mars. Haas is a painter and sculptor and has exhibited extensively throughout the New York area and was the director of the Sculptors’ Association of New Jersey. He has studied the art and iconography of North and South American cultures and was a member of both the Pre-Columbian Societies at the University of Pennsylvania and in Washington DC. He has coauthored two books and six science papers, related to anomalous formations on Mars. He has appeared on the History Channels Ancient Aliens; The Proof is out There and The UnXplained.

His current book The Great Architects of Mars examines a wide variety of anomalous structures and geoglyphic formations observed on Mars that displays a high degree of geometric and symbolic design.

The book examines Carl Sagan’s famous three-side pyramids and features a keyhole-shaped formation that is identical in design to ancient tombs found in Japan. The book also features a small dove-shaped geoglyph with a large flowing tail and a giant parrot-shaped geoglyph that possesses an astounding 22 points of anatomical correctness with terrestrial parrots.

Haas said, “I find it amazing that NASA has photographed many avian formations on the surface of Mars that highly resemble birds found right here on Earth. I invite art lovers and bird watchers alike to visit the 8 Chains North Gallery, have a glass of wine and explore the Birds of Mars for themselves.”
