Proposed Design for Westpark Improvement to be Presented April 21

On April 21, the proposed design for the Westpark Property Improvements project in Leesburg is scheduled to be presented to the Board of Supervisors for endorsement. The proposed passive park design includes the construction of trails, parking lots, restrooms, pavilions and a disc golf course. 

 The project will be constructed on the former golf course located off Clubhouse Drive in Leesburg, which Loudoun County purchased in 2022. The passive park will preserve as much of the natural environment as possible.

Public Input

Members of the public can provide input on the design proposal, either in person or virtually during the April 21 meeting. Instructions for how to provide input at a Board of Supervisors meetings are online at loudoun.gov/SignupToSpeak. The deadline to sign up in advance is noon on the day of the meeting; call 703-777-0200 to sign up in advance.

In addition, members of the public may email the Board directly at bos@loudoun.gov at any time prior to the meeting.

The Board of Supervisors’ public meetings are held in the Board Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, located at 1 Harrison St. SE in Leesburg.

In addition, the meetings are televised on Comcast Channel 1075 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40, and livestreamed online at loudoun.gov/meetings.

Pending approval of the proposed design by the Board of Supervisors, construction of the park improvements could begin during summer 2026. The construction of proposed improvements is anticipated to be complete by fall 2027.
