Virginia Valley Vipers

The Virginia Valley Vipers have selected Darien Almond as the teams next Head Coach. Almond is a graduate of Potomac Falls High School and is currently on staff as the Head JV Coach as well as an assistant on Varsity for Potomac Falls.

“I am incredibly excited to announce my new role as the Head Coach of the Virginia Vipers” Almond said. “After dedicating 15 years to coaching at Potomac Falls along with my experience as an AAU Coach and running various summer basketball camps for youth, I see this as an amazing next step in my coaching career.” 

Almond is a Leesburg resident and also works as a Principal Trainer for Virginia Hospital Center.

“Coach Darien’s character, ability to connect with players, and basketball IQ are impressive, and compliments the culture that we strive to continue building upon. Coach Almond is an asset to the team and community, and we’re looking forward to his leadership.” Vipers Team Market Owner, Tina Stevens-Culbreath said about the selection of Almond as the Vipers Head Coach.

The selection of Almond as Vipers Head Coach comes right before the tryout period on October 5th.

“Coaching adult professionals presents a unique opportunity to elevate the game at a higher level while contributing my commitment to giving back to the community I grew up in, Loudoun County. I look forward to fostering talent, building strong relationship’s, and contributing to the success of the Virginia Vipers.” Almond also said about the opportunity.
