16th Annual Dog Swim scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7

Registration for this year’s 16 th  annual Dog Swim will open to Leesburg residents on Tuesday, July 16 and on Tuesday, July 23 for non-Leesburg residents.

The AV Symington Aquatic Center will be open for the dog-only swim from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

The event allows local pups the opportunity to have fun in a safe, enclosed area while swimming off-leash with other dogs. All dogs must be six months old, legally licensed, vaccinated, and wearing a visible dog license. All exits will be gated, and a veterinarian will be on-site as a precaution. Bring a doggie dish for water, if needed.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required with a two-dog max, per person. The cost to attend is
$5.00 per person. Walk-up registration will not be available. Those attending must be at least 12 years
of age with dog handlers being 16 years or older.
