Teen artists sought for virtual concert event

The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is seeking local teen artists to perform at a live, virtual concert on Saturday, May 8. PRCS is hosting the event to provide an opportunity for bands and soloists to experience playing on a professional platform in a safe, socially-distanced environment.

The performances will be livestreamed on the Franklin Park Performing and Visual Arts Center’s YouTube channel.

To foster a concert-like experience for the artists and virtual audience, the number of acts will be limited to twenty. Event restrictions will be in place, in accordance with the Forward Virginia COVID-19 guidelines, and no audience members will be allowed on site. Acts will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. More details about the event and how to register are available online. Registration closes at 5 p.m. on March 16.
