Technology & Communications Commission to Host “Cyber Safety for Kids”

As children spend more time online for learning, gaming, and socializing, the Town of Leesburg’s Technology & Communications Commission is inviting families to learn how to stay safe in the digital world during its upcoming “Cyber Safety for Kids” program.

The free event will be held on Tuesday, June 23, at 6 p.m. at Thomas Balch Library, 208 West Market Street, Leesburg.

Designed for both children and their parents or caregivers, the program will explore the basics of online safety in a fun and accessible way. Participants will learn how to protect personal information, recognize potential online risks, practice good digital habits, and become responsible digital citizens.

“Cyber Safety for Kids” aims to give families the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the internet with confidence and security.

The event is free and open to the public. Children, parents, grandparents, and caregivers are encouraged to attend.
