Shenandoah Potters Guild sale at 34 th Annual Garden Fair

The Shenandoah Potters Guild will present a pottery show and sale during the 34 th Annual Garden Fair
at The State Arboretum at Blandy Experimental Farm during Mother’s Day weekend, May 11-12, 10
a.m. 4 p.m. both days, rain or shine.

On display and available for purchase will be unique works created by members of the Guild, many of
which are geared to the sensibilities of all types of gardeners, including handmade flower pots,
birdhouses, birdbaths and much more. While each potter uses the same basic materials, the range of
their works differs widely, showing the art, skill, and creativity of each artist.

According to Blandy’s website, “The Garden Fair is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the
Foundation of the State Arboretum, the nonprofit that supports Blandy Experimental Farm and the
Arboretums’ varied collections and public education programs.

Eight to ten thousand people from across Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Warren and Loudoun
Counties and far beyond, up to a 300-mile radius attend this Mother’s Day tradition event hosted on the
beautiful grounds of the State Arboretum of Virginia, located in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley.
More than 50 vendors from across the state participate each year to offer the best selection of native
plants, annuals, perennials. herbs, trees, shrubs, garden tools, crafts and more.” Blandy is located at
