Schedule for Purcellville Road Closures in May for pipe replacement

Weather permitting, Purcellville Road (Route 611) between Allder School Road (Route 711) and Route 9 (Charles Town Pike) will be continuously closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. Monday, May 19, until 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, and then will have daytime closures Wednesday, May 21; Thursday, May 22; Tuesday, May 27; Wednesday, May 28; and Thursday, May 29, for drainage pipe replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Purcellville Road will be closed to through traffic as follows:

  • 9 a.m. Monday, May 19, to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 20
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 21
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 22
  • Noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 27
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 28
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 29

Those needing to reach properties along Purcellville Road will have access but will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement (located between the properties at 16195 Purcellville Road and 16287 Purcellville Road) in either direction.

Through traffic will be detoured via Allder School Road, Hillsboro Road (Route 690) and Route 9 back to Purcellville Road.
