Ribbon cutting and opening of Ashburn Recreation and Community Center

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center on Thursday, July 31, at 6 p.m., join Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services for a weekend filled with exciting activities and events.           

After the grand opening ceremony, the center will open to the public for tours. The center will remain open for tours and membership sales until 9:30 p.m. Normal hours of operation begin Friday, August 1, at 5 a.m. Admission to the center will be free of charge from Friday, Aug. 1, through Sunday, Aug. 3. Free parking is available onsite.

Facility Tours and Information Sessions: 
Explore the new Ashburn Recreation and Community Center with guided tours available all weekend from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Learn about PRCS Connect and fall activities, birthday party packages, and provide your feedback at our Patron Feedback Table. 
 
Sensory Room Tours: 
Experience our unique Sensory Room with tours scheduled throughout the weekend. Please remember to wear socks! 
 
Outdoor Fun: 
Enjoy moon bounces, lawn games, Gaga Ball, and Spike Ball from Friday to Sunday. 
 
Fitness and Sports Activities: 
Participate in open gym sessions, basketball, badminton, pickleball, volleyball and futsal. Don’t miss our skills contests and interactive floor demonstrations. 
 
Pools and Aquatic Events: 
Dive into our competition and leisure pools, meet the lifeguards and learn about aquatic hiring opportunities. 
 
Fitness Classes: 
Join a variety of fitness classes, including water aerobics, yoga, Zumba and more. Class sizes are limited, so sign up 30 minutes prior at the front desk. 
 
Demonstration Kitchen: 
Savor delicious culinary creations with live cooking demonstrations featuring stuffed peppers, vegan Caesar salad, smoothie bowls, tomato, crab, and corn Chesapeake, homemade granola and more. 
 
Food Trucks: 
Indulge in tasty treats for purchase from a selection of food trucks, including Kona Ice, ResQ BBQ and Lupitas Taqueria.  
 
Children’s Events: 
Engage your little ones with activities like Movers & Grovers, Mini Maestros and Scribble Art. Preschool information sessions are available throughout the weekend. 
 
Tie-Dye Shirt-Making: 
Create your tie-dye masterpiece with 100 shirts available each day.
