Raflo Park pavilion to Undergo Renovations

The project is expected to be completed by Feb. 28

Beginning Monday, Feb. 3, the pavilion at Raflo Park, located at 345 Harrison St. SE, will be temporarily closed to facilitate the removal and replacement of the existing post-and-beam structure. This work is necessary due to the deterioration of the wooden components.

The new design will closely mirror the existing structure while incorporating enhancements to improve maintenance. Additionally, the stone foundations and flooring will be preserved.

For the safety of patrons and to provide a secure work environment for contractors, construction areas will be enclosed with temporary fencing. Visitors are kindly requested to adhere to all posted signage and remain mindful of designated closure areas during the project.

The temporary closure will be limited to the immediate area surrounding the pavilion, ensuring that the park’s walking trails, open spaces, and the bike depot adjacent to the W&OD Trail remain fully accessible.

The project is expected to be completed by Friday, Feb. 28, weather pending. Anyone with questions is encouraged to email Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation Jon Cleaves at jcleaves@leesburgva.gov. The Town of Leesburg appreciates your patience during this temporary closure.
