Purcellville wastewater treatment staff receive awards

Three Town of Purcellville Wastewater Treatment staff members were recently recognized for their hard work and dedication in the industry during the Virginia Rural Water Association’s 32nd Annual conference. 

These staff members competed against other candidates in the Wastewater Division from all over the State of Virginia. 

Adam Bailey received the Wastewater Rookie of the Year award for his enthusiasm for learning and developing as an operator.

Jason Chapman received the System Operator Specialist of the Year award for showing exemplary knowledge encompassing process control and for his willingness and passion for training new employees. 

Kristen Muller received the Lab Technician of the Year award for her exceptional critical thinking skills and her attention to detail.

 These three employees embody the Department’s objective to provide safe and efficient treatment of all wastewaters generated within the Town and to ensure the protection of the public health as well as the environment.
