Purcellville police reports for the week ending December 31, 2020
11:04 p.m. 100 Block of North 16th Street Hit and Run
The complainant was inside his residence and heard a loud crash in the parking lot. Looking out, he observed a grey Cadillac leaving the area and saw that the striking vehicle apparently pushed one of the complaints parked car into his other parked car. A look-out was broadcast and the area checked but the striking vehicle remains at large. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Officer Alex Burkett at 540-338-7422 x125.
12/28/20 5:39 p.m. 100 Block of Devonshire Circle Suspicious Incident
The complainant discovered an arrow sticking from the ground in his backyard. The arrow was in the rear corner of the yard. A canvass was conducted but nothing related was discovered.
12/29/20 8:24 a.m. 300 Block of E. Main Street Unsecured Building
A Police Department employee observed an open door at the above location. An officer responded and found nothing amiss except for the open door. A note was left for the building owner, who called back and reported that nothing was out of place in the business.
12/29/20 11:17 a.m. 100 Block of N 21st Street Suspicious Incident
A business owner arrived at her store and found a baggie of suspected marijuana on the front door step. The green leafy material later tested positive for marijuana and was turned in for destruction.
