Purcellville police incidents report for Feb 5

01/29/21          10:54p.m.        1000 Block of Hirst Road                                Warrant Service

Officers responded for a suspicious vehicle call and during the course of their encounter, with the lone occupant of a vehicle, found that the subject was wanted on nine outstanding warrants. He was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center, where he was held without bond.   During an inventory search of his vehicle, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.  

Arrested was: Miguel Galeano, 28, of Sterling

01/30/21          8:59a.m.          100 Block of Maple Avenue                             Suspicious Package

Officers responded to a home in town where a homeowner reported finding on her driveway, a plastic Ziploc bag with a rock and a note with anti-Trump rhetoric. While the note contained profanity, there were no threats to do harm.  There were similar occurrences on Jan. 5, and 9. 

01/30/21          9:12 a.m.         200 Block of S. 12th Street                               Death Investigation

Police responded with medics for a case in which CPR was in progress on a patient.  Medics took over CPR but were unable to revive the patient.  Loudoun County Investigators responded and the State Medical Examiner was contacted as was the decedent’s primary care physician. The case was determined to be a death due to natural causes.   

01/30/21          9:48 p.m.         400 Block of McDaniel Drive                          Assault and Battery

Officers responded to a reported assault and battery. The investigation revealed that two residents were moving vehicles in preparation for the upcoming snow fall, when another resident, upset over the noise they were making, confronted them.  When he noticed one of the parties filming the incident, he knocked the phone from her hand.  The suspect can be seen on the video assaulting the two victims.  He was located at his residence and arrested for assault and battery.  He was transported to the Adult Detention Center, and was released on a $1000.00 unsecured bond.  

Arrested was: Rodney Adachi, 63, of Purcellville

01/30/21          11:26 p.m.       100 Block of N. 16th Street                               Runaway

Officers responded for a report of a missing child. They learned that the complainant’s 12-year-old son left the home without telling her where he was going.  The boy’s step father spoke by phone with the boy, who was in route home by car from Leesburg.  Officers waited until a vehicle, driven by a 15-year-old and occupied by the missing child and a 42-year-old man arrived. Officers spoke to all present and eventually got a hold of the parents of the 15-year-old, who did not know who the adult male in the vehicle was.  Juvenile Court Service in Loudoun County were contacted, as was were the Alexandria Virginia Police, as the 15 year old is an Alexandria resident.  The investigation is on-going.

02/02/21          6:24 a.m.         100 Block of Newkirk Court                           Suspicious Incident

The complainant reported that on Jan. 20, an unknown woman knocked on her door and stated that she wanted the complainant to answer questions regarding an affair that the complainant allegedly had with the woman’s husband.  The complainant denied having an affair and the woman left.  This visit had been proceeded by unwanted text messages and phone calls.  The complainant reported that from 2016-2019, her child was on a sports team with the woman’s son, and that she shared driving to and from games and practices but never engaged in a relationship with her husband.  At the request of the reporting party, a trespassing notice was completed, but as no crime had occurred, no other action was taken.

02/02/21; 12:20 p.m.       100 Block of N. 16th Street                               Domestic Dispute

Police responded for a reported domestic argument and upon arrival found a man and a toddler in the apartment.  He reported that he and his girlfriend had a loud, verbal but non-physical argument.   He was visibly upset but had no sign of injury, and the apartment was neat and orderly.   After leaving the apartment, the officers encountered the other half of the domestic dispute at the bottom of the stairwell. She confirmed the same events as the other party and said that she likes to walk away when upset.  As no crime had been committed, no further police intervention was required. 

02/03/21          12:02 a.m.       37000 Block of Sutton Drive                           Domestic Dispute

A third party called in a domestic dispute after receiving a call from a friend and hearing the sounds of fighting in the background. Officers responded to a location in Purcellville but discovered that the parties were in Fairfax County. ECC contacted the Fairfax County Police, who located the couple and arrested the husband, who was the primary aggressor. While at the Purcellville residence, officers discovered that a child was home alone. As the child was of an appropriate age, Child Protective Services did not respond to the scene.  Officers waited at the residence until the child’s mother arrived home. 

02/03/21          8:29 a.m.         100 Block Kirkbridge Court                                       Runaway

A teen left the house without permission following a dispute with his mother.  Officers searched the area and eventually found the missing youth behind the Domino’s Pizza on Main Street. He was returned home.  His mother was provided with information for Loudoun County Mental Health and Youth Services.  No further police intervention was required.
