Purcellville incident report July 10, 2021
07/10/21 9:42 a.m. Wells Fargo Bank Fraud
The complainant called the police because he believes that his ex-girlfriend fraudulently cashed his disability checks. Through the initial investigation it was determined that the checks were not cashed by the ex-girlfriend, but possibly endorsed by her without permission.
The case is still under investigation.
07/10/21 3:31 a.m. Hirst Road and North 21st Street DUI
Officers were dispatched for a report of a single vehicle accident off of the roadway. Once officers contacted the driver, it was determined she exhibited signed of intoxication. After a battery of tests, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and placed under arrest for driving under the influence, where she was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
Arrested was: Shannon Roberts, 40, of Fairfax
07/12/21 7:30 a.m. 200 Block of North Brewster Lane Hit and Run
A complainant called the police to report their vehicle being struck on the driver’s door by an unknown vehicle while on a job site.
Investigation is ongoing.
07/12/21 9:20 p.m. 600 Block of Dominion Terrace Suspicious Person
A third party reported that a juvenile female was approached by an unknown male while walking her dog. The male was described as a white male wearing a black short sleeve shirt, black facemask, and black hood. The investigating officer attempted contact with the complainant, but was unsuccessful.
07/14/21 3:33 a.m. 100 Block of North 31st Street Welfare Check
The complainant was concerned for her friend when she did not check in or respond to text messages after going on a date with an unknown person. After many hours of trying to locate this person, a welfare check was conducted and found the person was asleep and not in any harm.
07/14/21 12:47 a.m. 609 East Main Street Curfew Violation
Officers on patrol observed two juvenile females who appeared well under the age to be alone at that time of night and wearing pajamas. It was determined that the juveniles were out for a walk but no parents were aware. Both juveniles were released back to their respective guardian.
07/14/21 8:45 a.m. South 14th Street Larceny
A complainant called police to report that at some point overnight an unknown subject entered her vehicle that was unlocked and stole $300 cash and other miscellaneous items.
07/14/21 6:10 p.m. 1000 East Main Street Hit and Run
Officers responded to the Giant food for a report of a past occurred hit and run accident. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who advised that his vehicle was parked outside while shopping and when he arrived back to his vehicle there was new damage to the driver’s side back wheel well. A note was left on the vehicle, but it included a number not in service.
Investigation is ongoing.
07/15/21 11:22 a.m. 200 Block of South Nursery Avenue Suspicious Incident

A complainant called police to report that a box was delivered to their house for a member of the family. When they went to retrieve this package, they noticed it had already been opened but believed the contents was not of interest to the individual who was contemplating stealing the package.
