Purcellville Cannons seek internships
The Purcellville Cannons Baseball Team is seeking enthusiastic college students or high school seniors for internships during the 2025 season. Interns will have an opportunity to develop and expand skills in the following areas: Promotions, Marketing, Analytics, Game Day Operations, Social Media, and Website Management. Interns are needed primarily from late May thru early August during the 20 plus home games played in Purcellville each year.
Director of Operations Jim Singhas said, “Interns are the backbone of our organization. They provide a wealth of commitment to the overall program and in return gain valuable experience, make new connections, and contribute to their community. We’ve been lucky the past few years to have a great group of young adults working hard and also having fun at the field every day.”
The Purcellville Cannons baseball organization is part of the prestigious Valley Baseball League. Thirty-five collegiate players from throughout the United State and across the globe travel to western Loudoun County each summer to hone their skills on the diamond and gain additional recognition from college coaches and MLB scouts. The team plays a 40-game schedule throughout the Shenandoah Valley with evening games every Tuesday thru Sunday for 8 weeks with historic Fireman’s Field in Purcellville as their home base.
Almost everyone from coaching and concession staff to game day announcers and activities coordinators are giving their time to bring a game they love to the community. The Cannons are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run primarily with volunteer effort.
More information about the team can be found at www.purcellvillecannons.com. Interested students should contact Jim Singhas, Director of Operations at 540-539-3123 or coachsing@ymail.com to discuss the application and interview process.
