Public meeting on Snickersville Turnpike Speed Management Study

Loudoun County is hosting a public input meeting Oct. 16, on the Snickersville Turnpike Speed Management Study. The purpose of this study is to assess travel speeds on Snickersville Turnpike (Rt. 734) in the vicinity of the village of Philomont, from Hibbs Bridge to the intersection of St. Louis Road (Rt. 611) and Silcott Springs Road (Rt. 690). In addition, the study will recommend countermeasures that can help reduce vehicle speeds along the corridor.

The Snickersville Turnpike Speed Management Study public input meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 p.m., at the Bluemont Community Center, 33846 Snickersville Turnpike in Bluemont. Parking is available on-site.

Residents may provide input at the meeting or through the online comment form that will be available at loudoun.gov/SnickersvilleStudy following the Oct.16 meeting. All comments from the meeting must be received by Oct. 31. For those without access to the internet, comments may be provided by phone at 703-737-8624.
