Off-Duty LCSO Deputy arrested by Leesburg Police

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has been advised by the Leesburg Police Department that Rajesh Kumar, an off-duty LCSO deputy with the rank of Sergeant, was arrested at his home in Leesburg on the evening of Oct. 4, for domestic assault and preventing another family member from calling 911. Kumar was processed at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

As is standard procedure, the LCSO immediately relieved Kumar of duty and placed him on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings and an investigation by the LCSO’s Internal Affairs Unit. Kumar joined the LCSO in August 2017.
