Morven Park to host US Equestrian Openof Eventing Final
The Morven Park International & Fall Horse Trials will host the US Equestrian Open of Eventing Final from Thursday, Oct. 9, through Sunday, Oct. 12, at the historic Morven Park grounds in Leesburg. The four-day competition will feature top-level riders, including Olympians, competing in the three phases of eventing: dressage, show jumping, and cross-country.
The Open of Eventing Final marks the culmination of a new national series that includes 20 qualifying events held across the country. Riders accumulate points throughout the season, with top performers advancing to the final round at Morven Park. The event will crown the inaugural US Equestrian Open of Eventing champion.
More than $200,000 in prize money will be awarded at the final. An additional $50,000 will go to the three highest-placed riders in the overall series standings.
Competition will take place rain or shine. The full schedule is as follows:
Thursday, Oct. 9
11 a.m. – Dressage
Friday, Oct. 10
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Dressage
Saturday, October 11
9 a.m. – Show Jumping
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Cross-country
Sunday, Oct. 12
8 a.m. – Horse Inspection
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Cross-country
12 p.m. – Show Jumping and Awards Ceremony
