Loudoun County Art Advisory Committee presents Black and White

The Loudoun County Art Advisory Committee will present the opening of a new visual art show titled Black and White. This exhibition showcases selected works from a variety of artists within the Loudoun County art collection.  The artwork will be available for public viewing from Tuesday, Oct. 7, through Friday, Oct. 31, at Gallery One, located in the lobby of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street SE, in Leesburg.

Black and White is a grouping of monochromatic art, appreciating the subtle nuances and bold contrasts within each piece of artwork. The exhibit consists of intricate pen and ink drawings and vivid photographs. The artwork highlights the artistic excellence in the County’s collection and demonstrates the ability of each artist to master their craft, evoking profound meaning and emotion, all while using a limited color palette. The public is invited to view the work Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Loudoun County Art Advisory Committee, appointed by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, is dedicated to promoting local artists and preserving the County’s art collection. Exhibits like Black and White help the committee continue to foster a vibrant arts community in Loudoun County.
