Loudoun Chamber opens nominations for 2022 Community Leadership Awards

The Loudoun Chamber has announced that nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 Community Leadership Awards. The deadline to nominate a local business or community leader for this award is Friday, Oct. 30, at 5 p.m.

The Community Leadership Awards honor Loudoun’s business and nonprofit community leaders that have demonstrated exemplary leadership to positively impact the quality of life in Loudoun County and to serve the needs of its citizens.

The top honorees will be announced at the Loudoun Chamber’s Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards gala, which will take place on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 at The National Conference Center in Lansdowne.

The finalists are selected in five categories: Large and Small Businesses, Nonprofit Executive, Executive Leaders and Young Professional Leaders. These finalists, and the eventual top honorees, are chosen by a panel of Loudoun’s top business and nonprofit leaders.

“Loudoun’s businesses and nonprofits are the backbone of our community, working non-stop to serve our neighbors in need, while creating a world-class quality of life and economy that serves us all. The Loudoun Chamber is proud to honor the best of these outstanding Community Leaders at our Annual Meeting, where we also will honor own outstanding leaders for all they have done to make Loudoun a great place to live, work, play and grow a business,” said Chamber President & CEO Tony Howard.

The 54th Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards also will celebrate the outstanding leadership of our outgoing Board Chair, Stacey Metcalfe, CEO at the historic Morven Park estate. In a break from tradition, Metcalfe served two terms as Board Chair, to provide the stability of leadership needed to guide the Chamber, and its members, through the economic and social challenges of COVID-19.

“Stacey is a remarkably courageous and selfless leader, and she has meant so much to this Chamber and to our entire Loudoun community during her term as Chair. Her relentless energy, positivity and genuine affection for Loudoun County have defined her leadership of this great organization, and are the same attributes that have made her a great friend to all who know her,”  said Howard.
