Leesburg’s Annual Airshow—Sept. 27
The Leesburg Executive Airport located at 1001 Sycolin Road SE, will host the annual Leesburg Airshow on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The airshow’s static display, set up on the airport tarmac, will showcase a diverse lineup of modern and vintage aircraft, including an L-39 jet trainer, a TBM Avenger, and a PT-17 Stearman. The Northern Virginia Radio Control Club will also present an exciting demonstration of radio-controlled planes and jets.
Attendees can also enjoy aviation-related displays, educational activities and exhibits, inflatable slides for the kids, and a variety of food and beverage vendors. Craft beer will be available for purchase.
At 1 p.m., the skies above Leesburg will come alive with daring aerobatic performances by the Flying Circus, Scott Francis Airshows, RJ Gritter, Warbird Thunder Airshows, Jersey Jerks, David Windmiller, and retired Marine Corps Aviator Lieutenant General Bob “Rooster” Schmidle.
Please note, all performers and static displays are subject to change. Aerobatic performances are weather-dependent and may be modified or canceled for safety. In the event of severe storms or unsafe conditions, the airshow itself may be canceled. Updates will be shared promptly through official channels.
