The Town of Leesburg will host an open house on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the services and equipment used to provide safe, efficient, and reliable services in the Town.

Staff from the Department of Utilities, Public Works, Capital Projects, Community Development, Emergency Management, as well as the Leesburg Police, will be on hand to answer questions regarding their services.

Town vehicles will be on display in the back parking lot of the utility maintenance building, which will allow families to see the vehicles up close while learning how each one operates.

Attendees will also have the chance to learn about town trash and recycling services, water and sewer services, observe demonstrations, turn old paper into new, and build an emergency preparedness kit.

A Bruster’s food truck will also be on-site for anyone who would like to enjoy ice cream. The Town will provide the first 100 visitors with a free scoop.

In addition, residents can tour the water plant and wastewater plant. Each tour lasts one hour and is limited to 10 people, ages 10 and above. Advanced registration is required. Click here to register.

The free event will be held rain or shine at the Utilities Department, located at 1385 Russell Branch Parkway SE, in Leesburg. For more information is available at www.leesburgva.gov/openhouse.
