Leesburg police investigating robbery

The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on the evening of March 5, on the W&OD Trail.

The victim reported that at approximately 9:35 p.m. while riding his bike on the W&OD Trail in the area of East Market Street (Rt. 7), he was confronted by five Hispanic males. The males pushed the victim off of his bike, assaulted him, and took his belongings.

Four of the suspects were dressed in all black, and one was dressed in some white clothing. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.
