Leesburg Police investigating report of shot fired and assault

The Leesburg Police Department is investigating an assault during which a firearm was discharged.
On Oct. 1, just before 9 p.m., officers responded to the area of the 700 block of E Market Street for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a firearm had been discharged during the incident. No injuries related to gunfire were reported.
