Leesburg Police investigating hit-and-run involving bicyclist

The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist that occurred on Friday, May 16, at approximately 10:27 p.m.

Officers responded to the intersection of Industrial Court SE and Catoctin Circle SE for a report of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female who had sustained injuries as a result of the collision.

The suspect vehicle, described as a newer model gray compact SUV, did not stop. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers are working to identify the driver and locate the suspect vehicle.
