Leesburg police investigate attempted abduction

The Leesburg Police Department is currently investigating a reported attempted abduction that is alleged to have occurred on the evening of September 22, 2021 in the Woodlea Manor subdivision in southwest Leesburg.

The teenaged juvenile victim reported she was walking in an undetermined section of Meade Drive SW at approximately 6 – 7 p.m. on Sept. 22, when she was approached by an unknown white female in a white 4-door sedan. The subject exited the vehicle and at one point grabbed the victim who was able to free herself.  The incident was reported to Leesburg Police on the evening of September 23, 2021.

The incident remains under investigation by the Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.  Anyone who has not already spoken with law enforcement and either believes that they witnessed the incident or has video surveillance of the incident is asked to contact Detective M.
