Leesburg Police cruiser struck by DWI driver
Joshua Deleonardis, 33, of Paeonian Springs has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated. The charge stems from a crash which occurred on Saturday, April 29.

The Leesburg Police Department received a report Saturday night at approximately 10:22 p.m., of a disabled vehicle that was blocking the exit lane from eastbound Route 7 (East Market Street) onto Crosstrail Boulevard SE.
Two LPD officers responded and blocked the exit lane with their marked cruisers with their emergency lights activated in order to safely assist the motorist. At shortly before 11 p.m., a vehicle struck one of the LPD cruisers. The cruiser was unoccupied at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported. Pursuant to an investigation, the driver, Joshua Deleonardis, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
