Leesburg Police Arrest Suspect in February Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash
The Leesburg Police Department has arrested and charged a Leesburg man in connection with a hit-and-run pedestrian crash that occurred Feb. 8, on Battlefield Parkway SE near Sycolin Road SE.

Following an extensive investigation, Alexei G. Fisher, 26, of Leesburg, was arrested on June 12, 2026, and charged with:
- Felony hit-and-run
- Violation of the Move Over Law
- Failure to report an accident
- Failure to yield to a pedestrian
- Failure to pay full time and attention
Fisher was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and later released on a $5,000 secured bond.
According to investigators, the investigation included locating and processing the suspect vehicle, reviewing physical and digital evidence, and following up on numerous tips received from the public. Information provided by community members after the release of surveillance video played a key role in identifying the suspect and advancing the case.
The Leesburg Police Department credited assistance from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and members of the community throughout the investigation.
The crash occurred on the night of Feb. 8, on Battlefield Parkway SE near Sycolin Road SE. Investigators said the victim had stopped his vehicle in the roadway after observing smoke coming from it and exited the vehicle. While outside the vehicle, he was struck by a passing car. The driver of the striking vehicle did not stop and continued southbound on Battlefield Parkway SE. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and has since been released.
As part of the original investigation, police had released surveillance video of the suspect vehicle, believed at the time to be a gray Tesla, in an effort to identify the driver. Authorities also asked for public assistance, noting that additional motorists in the area may have witnessed the crash.
