Leesburg Man Charged with Sexual Assault of a Minor

The Leesburg Police Department has arrested a Leesburg man in connection with the sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

On June 8, the Leesburg Police Department received a report about the sexual assault of a minor under the age of 13. Detectives immediately initiated an investigation into the allegations.

As a result of that investigation, detectives arrested Jose Edwin Ruano Navas, 32, of Leesburg, on June 10.

Navas has been charged with aggravated sexual battery of a Minor Under the Age of 13. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information is being released at this time in order to protect the identity and privacy of the victim.
