LCSO investigating fatal crash in Bluemont

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash involving a commercial motor vehicle, equipped with a snowplow and salt spreader, and a pickup truck on Leesburg Pike (Rt. 7) at Blue Ridge Mountain Road in Bluemont that occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2. 

The driver of the commercial vehicle, Mr. Juan Ferman, 38, of Centreville, was pronounced deceased at the scene. One person from the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation remains active.
