LCPS recognized as one of the best for music education

Loudoun County Public Schools has been recognized as one of the 2025 Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. This national designation honors school divisions that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students.

LCPS is among a select group of districts across the country to receive this recognition, reflecting the division’s ongoing commitment to ensuring students have access to high-quality music programs at every grade level. From elementary music instruction to middle and high school band, orchestra, and choral programs, LCPS continues to prioritize opportunities for students to develop their talents and explore their interests in the fine arts.

“The arts play an essential role in a well-rounded education,” said Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence. “Providing students with opportunities to explore music and other fine arts helps them grow not only as learners, but as individuals. These experiences build creativity, confidence, and connection, and they enrich the overall educational experience in meaningful and lasting ways. We are proud of the work happening in our schools to support our students in discovering and developing their talents.”

The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate a strong commitment to music education through funding, instruction, participation, and community support. LCPS’s recognition reflects the dedication of its music educators, the enthusiasm of its students, and the continued support of families and the broader community.
