Dodson won Mayor’s Award for best chili

The Purcellville American Legion Post recently sponsored its 2nd Annual Chili Cookoff. Erica Dodson won the Mayor’s Award for best chili. Purcellville Vice Mayor Chris Bertaut left, and Councilman Ron Rise, provided the award to Dodson along with Andy Rider, right, president of the Sons of the American Legion Post 293. Dozens of participants submitted their chili for consideration by dignitaries, post members and chili lovers.

The fundraiser will help fund ongoing programs for veterans and their families. Stay tuned for the next one.
