Comments for Sterling Blvd & Williamsburg Rd/Chase Heritage Circle Intersection open

Loudoun County is hosting an online public comment period, March 12 – April 12, on the Sterling Boulevard and Williamsburg Road/Chase Heritage Circle Intersection Improvements.

This project provides for the separation and improved delineation of turning movements at the intersection of Sterling Boulevard, Williamsburg Road and Chase Heritage Circle, as well as improvements to turn lanes operating at and through the intersection.

This intersection is part of the county’s Intersection Improvement Program which addresses traffic safety and operational challenges on roadways within the county. Members of the public are encouraged to watch a recorded presentation and provide input about the project at loudoun.gov/intersectionimprovement.

In 2017, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors established the Intersection Improvement Program as a proactive measure to efficiently initiate and implement roadway intersection improvement projects. Previously, these projects were often initiated on an ad-hoc basis in reaction to traffic safety and operational concerns and were sometimes delayed until funds became available. Intersections identified for improvement as part of this program are located along primary or collector roadways identified in the Countywide Transportation Plan.
