Cancellation of Reverse Parade; 2020 Christmas in Purcellville event update

Two changes have been made to the Christmas in Purcellville event schedule related to the reverse parade and the Town Tree Lighting. The reverse parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 5, has been canceled due to low participation resulting from COVID concerns and the Governor’s recent limitation of 25 individuals for both indoor and outdoor gatherings. The Town Tree Lighting will be a Facebook Live event on the Town of Purcellville’s Facebook page this Friday, December 4 at 6:30 p.m.

Other festivities, including the holiday lights tour map, a video about how to make holiday ornaments, a virtual holiday market, and the video of the traditional LEGO display, will continue as planned.  For more information, visit the Events and Activities page of the Town of Purcellville website. We appreciate the community’s understanding and support as we all continue to navigate through these challenging times and work to help reduce the potential spread of COVID-19.

Mayor Fraser reminds everyone “in this season of feasting and merriments, let’s take the opportunity to give to those who are in need in our area.”
