Bluemont Fair announces poster design winner

Organizers of the 53rd Annual Bluemont Fair, to be held September 16 and 17, are pleased to announce the winner of this year’s poster design contest: Michelle Finch. Michelle’s design was selected from a crowded field of wonderfully creative submissions by artists of all ages from throughout the region, and will grace the Bluemont Fair’s distinctive poster, T-shirt, and other fair memorabilia.

Her graphic suggestive of stone walls, a field of sunflowers, and the Blue Ridge Mountains rising in the distance captures much of what makes Bluemont such a special place in Northern Virginia.

Michelle Finch is graphic designer with over fifteen years of experience. Initially designing materials for a non-profit youth orchestra program, her professional life expanded to the corporate world where she became the marketing department lead for a technology company.

Finch grew up in a Coast Guard family, living in California, Alaska, and Virginia, before putting down roots in Bluemont with dog, Daisy, and husband, Matt.

Her additional creative outlets include photography – especially landscape and nature, which is abundant in Bluemont, and web design. The Bluemont Fair is a Loudoun County tradition held every third weekend in September (except 2020, due to the pandemic) since 1969. For more information about the
