Ashburn man charged in sexual assault of a child

Detectives from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have arrested an Ashburn man who sexually assaulted a child who was known to him. 

Leon T. Bressert, age 57 of Ashburn, was charged today with aggravated sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child. Bressert remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.

The assaults occurred between 2009 and 2011 and were recently reported to law enforcement. The age of the victim is not being released to help protect the child’s identity.

Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that there are additional sexual assault victims. Detectives are working to determine the identities of the additional victims.
