Purcellville police reports for the week ending January 8, 2021
01/02/21 7:19 p.m. 600 Block of Elliot Drive Trespassing
A relative who was neither invited nor allowed arrived at a residence, laying on the front sidewalk. At the request of the homeowners, papers banning the subject from the residence was completed. The subject left without incident.
01/03/21 3:15 p.m. 1211 Wolf Rock Drive Welfare Check
A homeless subject and mental health consumer called 911 requesting assistance as he was having suicidal ideations. The responding officer transported the man to the Crisis Center in Leesburg and subsequently to the Hospital for a full evaluation.
01/03/21 8:00 p.m. 300 Block of E. Main Street Hit and Run
An officer investigated a complaint of a damaged stop sign at the intersection of Purcellville Road and Nichols lane. Upon arrival he found the sign on the ground with damage consistent with having been struck by a vehicle. 01/04/21 3:02 a.m. 700 E. Main Street Larceny
While a lone cashier was in the back end of the store, two unknown subjects, described as white males, 20 years old, entered, took two cases of White Claw hard seltzer and left without paying for the items. The two suspects fled on foot.
01/05/21 9:01 a.m. Various Locations Suspicious Incidents
Officers responded to five locations in town where homeowners reported finding on their driveways, a plastic Ziploc bag with a rock and a note with anti-Trump rhetoric. While the notes contained profanity, there were no threats to do harm.
