Leesburg Police make arrest in armed robbery investigation

Eugene Mitchell Jr., 57, of no fixed address, was arrested by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office on July 5 on warrants obtained by the Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section charging Mitchell with robbery, the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and eluding. 

The Leesburg Police Department would like to thank the public for assisting in the identification of this armed and dangerous suspect and the LCSO for assisting in his apprehension.

The incident remains under investigation by the Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
